Sofia Ghani currently practices as a Health and Wellness coach. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas in Austin and practiced as a clinical pharmacist managing inpatient drug therapy at Baylor Medical Center. Sofia’s interest in health and wellness led her to delve into the preventative side of health. As a result, Sofia began looking towards natural methods of healing the body through food, proper nutrition, supplementation, mindfulness and physical activity. Over the years Sofia has developed a systematic method of managing health through her wellness programs. She has worked with countless number of individuals privately and in group settings to achieve their health goals. She is passionate about helping others realize their potential and lead a well-balanced healthy life.
Sofia joined Olive Community Services in September 2019 as the LLT program coordinator for South Orange County. In this role, Sofia oversees and conducts the South OC’s weekly senior day program and Olive Online. Along with this, Sofia has taken on a variety of additional projects such as the first Olive Fit & Fun Challenge where seniors were teamed up with a partner and completed an 8-week fitness challenge. Collectively the 14 participants lost over 150+ pounds! In addition, Sofia held a Wellness Workshop for seniors, the community and their families at the beginning of March. To keep seniors engaged during the covid-19 lockdown, Sofia initiated the Olive Facemask project, which started off as an idea and has blossomed into creating and distributing over 5000 facemasks to assisted living facilities, St. Jude’s Hospital and other locations to help seniors, their families and healthcare staff throughout Orange County and beyond.
Sofia looks forward to continuing to help others with a smile!
